Yes, yes, it’s another “What does a VA do?” post, but bear with me.
Whilst most people probably ‘get’ what a VA is in this modern world, I’m not sure most people get what a VA can do *for them*. Maybe they think it’s not accessible to them.
Maybe people know, but don’t KNOW know. They don’t quite put it into context for what it would mean to their business, personally. Is that an oxymoron…? Eh, I’m going with it anyway, because your business is personal. Especially if it’s taking over your life. If you’re logging on at silly o’clock in the morning, checking (and deleting!) emails all day long and then up until it’s WAY too late catching up on admin.
A Virtual Assistant is someone you can use to buy your life back.
I’ll say it again louder, YOU CAN BUY YOUR LIFE BACK.
If you aren’t self employed, but you know someone who is. Maybe they’ve talked about being too busy or struggling to get through everything they need to do. Can you do them (and me!) a favour and share this with them? Tag them in the comments maybe?
There is no need to try to handle *everything* yourself, to the detriment of your mental health, your family life or the core function of your business.
Most people don’t go into business to manage an email inbox, create documents, type minutes or chase invoices. (Except me, but that’s my vibe). Most people have a passion or a talent or skill that drove them to want to work for themselves.
Are you currently spending enough time doing the thing you set out to do, or are you doing the admin instead?
If you know you could earn more money, help more people, develop a better strategy if you just had more time. You can buy that time. From me.
Take five minutes to think about your day to day. Make three lists:
A. Specialist jobs that only you can do, because that’s your whole reason for working for yourself.
B. Jobs that are on your “would love to do” list.
C. Everything else.
How many hours could you gain back to tackle list A and B if you outsourced even one or two things from list number C?
A VA is not a commitment beyond what you decide you need, for the time frame you need it for.
– One inbox detox session to reset and create a workable email filing system
– 3 months of remote PA support just while it’s your busy season
– Ongoing email and calendar management for 15 minutes per day
– A revamp of your business paperwork, leaving you with professional documents you’ll find easy to use afterwards
– Clerking for your quarterly meetings with clear minutes and action points produced quickly.
Still unsure? Honestly, just get in touch. All you have to do is rant at me with your problems and I will bring you solutions. You’re on a time limit though, it’s a 30 minute discovery call, not therapy.
